looking at the d language for python

I am looking at the d language for python. It is a pain to install and god only knows how to use the thing. I was just looking for a way to try the c examples in csound and then using them with python. At some point if they are serius about getting d to work they have to put it all in one package.
It is almost impossible to compile with the tools that I saw but there seem to be an intresting parser generator for it. I also noticed that the name of the project pyd makes it almost impossible to find in a search engine with other qualifiers.
