colin1911 sound editor now supports free basic

This is the latest version of the colin1911 sound editor.. It now supports free basic but currently It is still glitched and is missing the compiler parts not to mention You should be able to create new files... This requires python and wxpython. a concept that is most likely heresy to free basic users (tested with python 2.5)... the file that I have working is test.fb1, I seem to be stuck on 12 columns when I need 14

the name comes from a turn of the century construction company that used to stamp thier names in the sidewalk.

colin1911 sound editor

New version of copowel1911 alright it is colin1911 but somewhere along the line I changed the name and didn't mean to. I added the ability to create new files. I also have a work around for the free basic file type and now there is most of a compiler fbcompile. turns the fb1 files into basic files... leave a coma on the end for now..

colin1911 sound editor

copowel1911

I made a small change to the free basic compiler but some editing still has to happen. I added a new file format called qb1. The idea is to use the qbasic or quick basic format of

freq dur filename

filename is added so that I can add code for loops where file name is the name of the code and then there will have to be a command of some sort to indicate where the sound code goes.. This is going to be for the sound command for qbasic, qbasic and qb64 as well as being compatable with free basic. I don't think there was alot of music written with the sound command but it certanily is possible to use it and I have seen mention that it could be tried.

Everyone in the guv ment rocks

This is the home page for the synthisys toolkit and calico editor called colin1911. The requirements are python and wxpython. If you want to modify your copy you may want boa constructor. There is no content without you so If you find the editor and the concept useful give us a a couple of samples on the board. The current version is for windows but some samll changes would make it work for the mac. Hopefuly this is as useful as some of the vst or dxi editors out there. I also have a simular one called dex tracker available for csound
